About me

After completing BSc in Mathematics with Statistics for Finance at Imperial College London with first class honours, I undertook the MSc in Applied Statistics at University of Oxford. Over time, I have developed a need to explore the world of applied mathematics to economics, management and forecasting. Already, in my Extended Essay, written in my second year of International Baccalaureate, I tried to answer the question of which stochastic time series forecasting methods are most suitable for a short-term sale forecast. This paper provided me with an opportunity to further develop my interest in applied mathematics as well as directed my future career in the world of mathematics and economics. Currently I place emphasis on statistics and the importance of computing as an aid for mathematicians, broadening my computing skills in C/C++, R, Matlab and Maple. My final year project at Imperial College studied advanced random matrix theory and estimation of large dimensional covariance matrices applied to a practical investigation of the S&P 500 index.
